The Client
Fathom is an AI-powered meeting intelligence platform that is changing the very nature of group meetings making them more productive, efficient and (actually) fulfilling.
Fathom’s technology transcribes and summarizes meetings in real time, with multi-language capabilities, and analyzes the full context of conversations to surface valuable, actionable insights in seconds.
Better-informed decision making, seamless global collaboration, less post-meeting busy work: This is the future, powered by Fathom.
The Challenge
Fathom experienced incredible rapid user growth through word of mouth alone, with minimal marketing and PR efforts. But the time came when the company wanted to elevate its profile beyond the fervent user community and establish Fathom as a leader in the increasingly crowded AI meeting assistant space.
The Strategy
Using Fathom’s $17M Series A funding round as an entry point, we developed and executed an announcement strategy that shared the news and also introduced Fathom’s story, leadership team and capabilities to key audiences.
Our plan to establish Fathom as an emerging leader in meeting intelligence included cultivation of thought leadership (via written content, podcast appearances and more), introductions to industry analysts and media figures to establish relationships that will be nurtured over time, submission for relevant industry awards, and other credibility-building efforts to highlight Fathom’s impressive user-driven growth and product-market fit.
The Results
In our first few months working together, this approach led to major traction for Fathom. The company’s exposure, opportunities and credibility all increased dramatically, as did the Fathom team’s profile as AI and future-of-work thought leaders. Wins included:
coverage of Series A funding in dozens of outlets including TechCrunch
introductions to industry analysts and select media, resulting in inclusion in pieces published by Inc., Financial Times, Business Insider and Cloud Wars
appearances on leading business and tech podcasts — with individualized media training first so they could hit those appearances out of the park
development of the clearly articulated company narrative that is now consistently used to tell Fathom’s story and celebrate its wins (see the CEO’s LinkedIn post)
